Montgomery Branch 351 of the
Royal Canadian Legion is
focusing on a new way of
raising funds in support of
our mission. In previous
years our Poppy Fund
resources were dependent
solely on the
Annual Poppy Campaign.
With increasing costs and a
reduction in volunteers, the
Campaign is expected to fall
short of our requirements.
We would appreciate your

Each November, poppies blossom
on the lapels and collars of
over half of Canada’s entire
Since 1921, the Poppy has stood
as a symbol of Remembrance, our
visual pledge to never forget
all those Canadians who have
fallen in war and military
The Poppy also stands
internationally as a “symbol of
collective reminiscence”, as
other countries have also
adopted its image to honour
those who have paid the ultimate
The person who
was responsible more than any other
for the adoption of the Poppy as a
symbol of Remembrance in Canada and
the Commonwealth was
Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae, a
Canadian Medical Officer during the
First World War.
The Legion Service Bureau Command Service Officers are here to serve Still Serving CF members, Veterans, RCMP Members and dependants while representing your interests in any dealings with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) and the Veterans Review and Appeal Board (VRAB) in claiming disability benefits under the Pension Act or the New Veterans Charter.

The Montgomery Branch has two
Halls to rent for occasions such as weddings, receptions,
parties, rehearsal dinners, proms, corporate meetings and
affairs, fundraisers, showcases, banquets, dances, reunions.
Book your wedding reception with us and we will give you a
FREE hall rental for
*your* stag, stag & doe or bachelorette party.
All of your catering needs can be provided by
award-winning Chef Ric Watson and his team at
Plenty of downtown street parking space as well.
Fundraisers, for registered charities,
We will waive the rental fee for active or veteran members
of the CAF and the RCMP. (proof of service required)
